A French academic painter
Félix Giacomotti (1828–1909) was a French painter born in Quingey and deceased in Besançon. A pupil of François-Édouard Picot, he won the Prix de Rome for painting in 1854. The Musée d’Orsay records that he exhibited at the Salon de la Société des artistes français from 1849 to 1908.
