Where the right of withdrawal applies, contact us within 14 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by the customer and the item must be sent to the European address provided by our customer service team. Damaged, defective or incorrect items are handled at our expense.

About Elegant Women on the Beach

Dated 1900–1902, this work by Georges de Feure combines watercolor, gouache, pen and ink on paper. The sheet measures 55 × 41 cm and is signed de Feure at lower left.

Figures facing the wind

Several women gather on a rocky shore. Their broad dark hats, pale dresses and long fabrics streaming towards the sea give the scene its movement. Pen outlines merge with broad washes of grey, beige and pink.

An internationally exhibited work

The sale record documents its inclusion in Georges de Feure exhibitions in Tokyo and Osaka in 1990, at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in 1993–1994, and at the Musée Maurice Denis and Fondation Neumann in 1995.
