Created in 1898, this iconic work was designed to promote cigarette papers, but it transcends its advertising function to become a symbol of Art Nouveau. Alphonse Mucha, the undisputed master of this artistic movement, captured the essence of his era through flowing lines and sophisticated ornamental patterns. The central female figure, typical of his style, embodies beauty and grace, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of refinement and delicacy.

Mucha, through his posters, elevated commercial art to a level of respectability and admiration rarely achieved.
