Discover the story behind this artwork
This vertical illustration depicts two tigers moving along a broad pale staircase. One crosses the steps near the centre, while the other appears lower down among the leaves. Their orange, white and black coats contrast with the muted greens of the vegetation.
The staircase curves upwards between rocks and plants with varied leaves. On the left, a pink-and-green pavilion has columns, several levels and a dark roof with upturned edges. Mountain silhouettes fade into a pale pink and cream sky. The pastel palette combines sage green, blue-grey, pink and beige. This contemporary work is presented without an unverified location, cultural origin or artist attribution.
